Tennis in America was born right here in Newport. The sport and its history are celebrated at the International Tennis Hall of Fame -- just down the street from the Inn. With a nod to both the grass court history and the museum itself, the Hall of Fame room is nicely detailed with historic tennis memorabilia. The Classic Room is brightly lit by the 3 floor-to-ceiling, south-facing, round-top windows and features a queen mahogany sleigh bed, armchairs, and gas fireplace.
