Perched on the sunny southern corner of the third floor, sits the bright Benedict Arnold room. One of the windows faces toward downtown with distant views of Newport Harbor. The Classic Room takes its name and decorative theme from Rhode Island's first governor, Benedict Arnold, the original owner of the land the Inn is situated on. It features a Victorian highback mahogany king bed, sitting area with fireplace and two wingback chairs, and bathroom with shower. The room is wrapped in a warm earth tone wallpaper and green carpeting, with design items related to Benedict Arnold.
